Thyrow is situated 4km north of Trebbin. The church's location is in the middle of the churchyard at the village green.
This church has had a moving building history. An excavation inside the church revealed many new finds. The nave's brickwork and that of the later added choir shows regular and very irregular areas. This can be probably explained with rebuilding and reconstructions.
The quality of the brickwork at the choir changes from the top to the bottom. The lower layers are well hewn.
The choir's field-stone deposits join the easterly nave wall and are not linked together.
The west wall consists of red bricks. The wall strength was measured at the south portal and is there ca 110m.
Remnants of the groove plaster with double etching are well preserved in several places. The tower is a roof tower with west wall made of lies; the other three sides are made in tile half-timbered style.
The church's interior is simple. Altar table, lectern and baptismal font are whitewashed as are the walls.
