Villa Koester

image author: sepi.city-map.de

The textile merchant Friedrich Hanssen built in the year 1902,after plans by the architects of the Thalia-Theatre Hamburg, Land & Kallmorgen, this neo-baroque villa in the park estate. This difficult construction was conducted by the company Pries, which now belongs to the young architect Hans Roß and he oversaw the execution.

The leather manufacturer Emil Köster later bought the villa.

The building is now part of the adjacent Klaus-Groth-School and belongs now to the town.
