Förderverein zur Erhaltung der Wasserkunst von 1535 in Landau           (Friends of the preservation of the Water Art from 1535 in Landau) 

With the closure of the Water Art in August 1981 the facility threaten to fall into disrepair. On an initiative by the former mayor Dieter Horchler a small circle of interested citizens met on the 24th of November 1981 at the Ratskeller to discus the preservation of the Water Art as a building-technical monument. From the discussion sprang spontaneously the foundation of the Förderverein zur Erhaltung der Wasserkunst von 1535 in Landau.
