The church in Großbeuthen originated in 1713 - 1714. It is a half-timbered building with an in 1847 added brick tower as the original tower became dilapidated already in the year 1796.
Lectern altar, patronage pewage with the coat of arms from the family von Goertzke are reminder of the church's traditions.
Especially eye-catching inside is the starry sky with its 280 golden stars.

At the lower part of the tower are the death plates, which are rare for the region. It was custom to bestow such wooden boards to young unmarried people.
The core of the clockwork is completely preserved even though it is very rusty. At the tower's inserted floor are clock weights, claming sleeves and ropes are kept.
Dates for sightseeing of the 'Open Church' can be obtained at the  Kulturverein Großbeuthen e. V..
