When Trebbin became garrison town in 1722 the construction of the first town hall followed in the year 1797. The town hall was used for the first meeting already 1798. This building was to be used by the municipal administration for the over 140 years.

The then mayor Herrmann laid the foundation for the new town hall in February 1939.
It has been a two-storey plaster building with round arch until the present day.

In the foyer one finds Trebbin's history as wall paintings, which were designed by local artists.
