The St. Stephanus church:
1337 the church in Egestorf was mentioned for the first time. As all surrounding villages Egestorf belonged to the Arc diaconat church of Salzhausen, yet in 1419 is became independent. In this year also a new church was built, however there is no information about the appearance of the old church. In 1645 another new building, a timer frame construction on a field stone foundation (similar to the church in Pattensen).

Particularly worth seeing: altar retable from the year 1659, pulpit from the year 1616; painting with figures of the old testament (around the year 1650), organ from the year 1867 – built by Phillip Furtwängler.
