The tiny village Lehde can only be reached by food or with a rowing boat. At the Open-Air Museum Lehde visitors can inspect three typical, old-Wendish farms from the Spreewald. Children most of all enjoy this experience while the grown ups can admire the Great Medicinal and Herb Garden or historical national costumes.
Everybody can learn something about the old craft of rowing boat building, to which the Spreewald owes it special flair. And how could it be any different in the land of cucumber? With an Lehde honours the most popular delicacy of the region. It is houses at a former cucumber processing plant and offers plenty of possibilities to taste all variations of the speciality
