A pike lost his tooth and his supplies were finished. In the city of Colpin he wanted to get a gold tooth and new supplies. But the people didn't take him seriously and sent him on his way. The pike then goes to the fish-fairy and tells her he wants to become a human. The fairy tells him he is allowed to become human in an emergency only. Her magic works at night only and that he will be invisible during the day. It is an emergency said the pike because I was cursed as a baby fish when I tried to eat human supplies that people with tins and paper had thrown into the Gott Lake.
The water in the Gott Lake was so spoiled that I couldn't eat anymore. The fish fairy felt sorry for the pike and said: This emergency is only the first challenge. I'll grant you a wish when you pass two further challenges. What do I have to do asked the pike impatiently. Come back tomorrow and tell me about your experiences. The pike swam along and met a snail. Due to his great hunger he wanted to eat it. The snail said: Don't eat me then you get a wish. The next morning the pike told the fish fairy his experiences. She said: You'll get a wish if you pass one more challenge. What should I do asked the pike again and the fish fairy said the same as the day before: Come back tomorrow and tell me about your experiences. The pike swam along and met a worm, which was hanging on a fish-hook. That the pike didn't see and wanted to eat the worm. The worm said, don't eat me otherwise you'll be eaten. Rescue me and you'll get a wish. The pike did as told. The next morning when the pike came to the fish fairy she fulfilled his wish to become a human being. Now he was standing naked on the shore, looked down and turned around searchingly. There he saw a knapsack with male clothes. The pike-human dressed, slung the knapsack on his back and walked toward the castle. There he found gold and supplies and took them with him. When the night vanished and the first rays of sun appeared the pike returned to his real form and vanished in the Gott Lake. He hid the gold in his tail fin. Full of joy he dived up and down and hit the tail fin so hard onto the water surface that the gold flew into the air and directly into the claws of an old crab.
Oh, said the crab what a lovely shiny stone who might have lost it? Me, me me said the pike. The crab was miffed and said: Prove it. The pike said: I'll prove it but only if you put a gold tooth in my mouth for my lost tooth. Proudly the crab cut the gold into shape with his claws and tried the tooth on in place of the lost one. Without giving the crab the wanted prove or thanking him the pike shot off and the crab wasn't able to follow him. By now the pike was also hunted by humans. But they couldn't find him as he was again in the Gott Lake. The pike was happy to have come off so lightly. But he was trapped as the fishing net was thrown over him. The pike lost his knapsack and was thrown onto the dock as the other fish. He wasn't found as he was invisible due to the fish fairy's magic. He really wanted to become a human again but is was a bright day and during the day he stayed a pike. He couldn't deploy his magic and his skin became drier and drier. Then clouds appeared before the sun, it started to rain and his skin and life was saved. It rained the whole day. At night the clouds vanished from the moon. Now the pike took on his strong human form and freed himself from the fishing net. He felt the power to do magic. He banished the city. He performed magic and turned raindrops into resounding waves. The water rose higher and higher. The people didn't realise as they were sleeping.

First the raindrops changed into tiny waves but these waves turned into giant flood waves. The city sunk.
Every hundred years - so it says - the magic can be broken. Every hundred years the city reappears. It is said that some people heard the storm bells but couldn't see the city. They saw a pike with a knapsack and a golden tooth in its mouth. That is being said. And wen the pike hasn't been caught he still lives there today.
After the last Ice Age the Gott Lake formed together with Kölpin Lake one water surface. A ditch proves the connection still today.
