The main railway station Rostock

The main railway station Rostock was modernised in the years 1999 - 2003. The station building was completely rebuilt, whereby parts of the old building were preserved and integrated. Thus, the railway station still has its usual exterior, looking on from the north.

A tram tunnel and a south station building with flower and newspaper shops as well as a bakery and a kiosk were added.

From here, Warnemünde can be reached with the tram in only 21 minutes. Since 2007, the ICE also stops at the main railway station Rostock.
