The history of the zoological gardens

An exhibition of the Westphalian Horse Museum and the LWL Museum Office Westphalia in cooperation with the All-Weather Zoo Münster deals with the history of zoological gardens. Zoological gardens all over the world attract around 600 million of visitors annually. A visit to the zoo is the most popular leisure time activity around the world.

The exhibition traces the European zoo history in seven stations. From the foundings and objectives of the first zoological gardens to the requirements and tasks of the present zoos. The Westphalian Horse Museum in the All-Weather Zoo is open daily from 9am to 4pm.
