Schwabstedt is a climatic health resort and is situated around twelve kilometres southeast of Husum and six kilometres northeast of Friedrichstadt at the downstream of the Treene. Apart from the village of Schwabstedt, villages Hollbüllhus, Lehmsiek and Schwabstedter Westerkoog are also part of the community. Lehmsiek is situated on a knoll between Schwabstedt and Winnert and borders onto the Lehmsieker Forest and the 631 hectares large nature resort 'Wildes Moor' near Schwabstedt.
