There are lots of same name villages in the Segeberg area. Also in Borstel. Now we mean the village Borstel in the extreme north-west of the district, situated north-west of Bad Bramstedt. Thus not Borstel near Sülfeld, but on the other district side in the south-east.
The village Borstel has only 128 inhabitants but is an independent community.
