In the middle of this little tourist village near the mountain peak you will find the in 1912 created Alpine Garden, the in the same year built  Humboldtbaude with the Local Museum and since 1998 a viewing tower. Here is also the start of a ski slope and drag lift, which extends over the whole north slope.
The mountain can be reached via the B96 over a partly new built service road to the generously constructed car-park at the Wasserhäuschen. After a few strides through the Alpine Garden and clambering of 108 steps you will be able to enjoy a view from the 22m high viewing tower onto the picturesque town and the surrounding Oberlausitzer Highlands and discover many points of interest.
