"Nostalgic, but not antiquated, small but still large gentle, friendly but not stereotype. Hohenlohe is like its people, take a chance, you will fall in love, discover new things continuously and would like to put roots down."
Frank Winkler, Forchtenberg, singer of the dialect group "Annậweech", vintner and proprietor

Hohenlohe was over many years the dominion of Hohenlohe's princes. The land Hohenlohe Franconia has been divided in Hohenlohe-district as well as the district Schwäbisch Hall and the Main-Tauber-District since the local government reorganisation. The estates of the widely branched out Hohenlohe nobility were once as far as the district Heilbronn and the Bavarian district Ansbach.

Times have changed the Hohenlohe person have not. He is a conservative breed of men, confident, cosmopolitan and down-to-earth all at the same time; he has humour and slyness, in addition a special diplomacy and hedonism.

„"In jedem Neschd a Schlouss" (in every hamlet a palace) – In the land of palaces and castles this is still true today.
The associated princes and barons are also still there. They feel tightly connected to land and people and play an important role in the cultural and social life. Their aristocratic estates and palaces have been stylishly renovated and are tourist attractions, whether as museum, open-air stage, concert hall, romantic hotel, whether private or publicly used.

Even though the Hohenlohe people are confident and independent, the farmers feel like little kings on their stately farmsteads the relationship to the "Färschd" or to "Durschlaucht" (Serenity) is still characterised by a certain respect. But the people are united, independent of job or social standing, the appreciation of the joined history and their pride to what makes Hohenlohe tick.
