The Pauls church is part of the Protestant- Lutheran church community Schwerin St. Paul in the Propstei Wismar. It was built in the neo-Gothic style, the cornerstone ceremony took place in the year 1863 and in 1869 the consecration. The Schweriner member of the High Consistory Theodor Kliefoth was significantly involved in the construction of the church together with the architect.

The interior of the Pauls church has been preserved to the present day, for example the glass paintings with the depiction of the history of salvation, the pulpit and the altar with paintings by Karl Gottfried Pfannschmidt as well as the royal box.

Part of the active community life of the Zum St. Pauls community is, among others, a Sunday school, Holy Communion for children, parents-toddler-breakfast, volunteer group, senior singing and much more.
