Easter eggs from many parts of the world that have been collected since 1971 by different members of the Lausitzer Heimatverein e. V. can be admired by visitors at the Ostereiermuseum (Easter Egg Museum) in Sabrodt (Sorbian: Zabrod). The range is wide. Apart from masterly crafted decorated eggs for example in typical wax reserve technique, there are also toy eggs, fun gifts, eggs as Christmas tree decoration, books and paintings and much more about the theme egg.
Among others one can watch the annual changing of award-winning Easter eggs at the Sorbian Easter egg competition Bautzen.
One can not only look at the four Sorbian and other egg paint techniques but also learn them in creative courses. Things to know around the egg shows a video film but there is also a video film about the World's egg customs. Other historical films tell of Sorbian-Wendish tradtitions. Information about sights at the Lausitz are also available here.
