Natureum Niederelbe

The Natureum Niederelbe is situated at the estuary of the river Oste into the Elbe. From the viewing platform one looks into the Elbe's estuary and feels the expanse of the marsh and tide landscsape.

The Natureum is the natural-history museum and the ecological station of the rural district Stade. It shows on 900 sqm permanent exhibition about nature and landscape in the Lower Elbe region and the Elbe-Weser-triangle and special exhibitions with changing topics.

With binoculars one watches from a separate pavilion and shelters wild waterfowls. On ca. 20ha outdoor terrain an exhibition and nature trail are being constructed.

Tuesday to Sunday from 10am - 5pm
(winter half year until 5pm), Monday closed

Vogelkieker:
You are interested in a two to three hour nature experience tour through Nordkehdingen? Ten thousand Nordic migrating birds live here in autumn and thousands of meadow breeders breed here unnoticed at Nordkehdingen's Elbe banks in spring and early summer.

With the help of good binoculars the upper level of the Vogelkieker offers optimal viewing conditions even in bad weather. In addition all Vogelkieker tours are being professionally looked after.
