Manor house Cromford

The Manor house Cromford was constructed by a textile industrialist named Johann Gottfried Brügelmann more than 200 years ago. Here the famous industrialist worked and lived with his family.

The factory buildings were replaced by villas in the 1980th. Still today one can admire the Manor house and the "high factory", where nowadays a part of the industrial museum of the Rhine is located.

The machines used for the yarn production can be inspected in its original condition and are still in operation. The visitor experience the former working and living conditions and learn about the history of the factory through an exhibition and a possible guided tour.

In the garden hall of the Manor house Cromford the registrar can perform wedding ceremonies these days.
