Discussions with filmmakers, lectures, exhibitions are a permanent part of the programme. Silent movie showings with live piano accompaniment bring movie classics onto the screen. Theatre groups like the Göttinger Comedy Company with the monthly Impro-Show have there their venue in the Lumière like the children's theatre of the club Domino and the Figur Theatre Days of the city Göttingen. In summer, the Lumière organises regularly Open Air Cinema in the outdoor swimming pool Brauweg. Programme
The LUMIERE is the official partner of the Goethe-Institut Göttingen.
The LUMIERE is part of the association 'European Cinemas' in the frame of the European Media-Programme.
The access to the LUMIERE is barrier-free.
