Local Museum Falkensee

The Local Museum of Falkensee is situated in a reconstructed half-timbered house. The half-timbered house used to be in Berlin-Spandau adjacent to the monastery mill in the past century and had to give way to an extension. The timber frame was taken apart and relocated to Flakenhagen around 1901. After it was bought by the town and had been restored to it original state it is being used since autumn 1992 as Local Museum.
In the wonderfully designed museum's garden is a old baking oven, which is over 200 years old. Homemade bread attracts once a year lots of guests to the baking festival.
