Landpark Lauenbrueck

The park

The park was founded by Friedrich-Wilhelm and Ingeborg Schiller as wildlife park in 1969. The spacious facility became known as 'Wildpark Lauenbrück', which has diverse offers in store for old and young. By now the park has adapted to cater for handicapped persons especially for the blind or sight impaired.

On an area of ca. 200.000 square metres the visitor will find a diverse picture of wooded areas, lake landscapes or meadows, in which the animal reserves are incorporated.

The animals

Visitors to the Landpark Lauenbrück are able to view many animals like the aurochs, Tarpan-horses, Danish protest pigs or also horn-less white polled heaths close up.

There are of course also native wild animals on the extensive terrain. To name but a few fallow deer or the moufflon.

Attractions and festivals

The LandPark offers, apart from nature attractions also the possibility to celebrate parties and family festivities at the Cafe LandHof.
