In the romantic Boitzenburg in the green valley at the monastery ruin is the technical monument and the Museum Klostermühle situated.

The Cistercian Monastery and the monastery mill were first recorded in 1271.

The mill is still working for educational shows.

The water wheel is activated by water power and transfers the power over a sophisticated system of transmission straps on four levels to hoist, grinding, Mehlwalzenstühlen, elevators as well as energy generator.

The museum shows agricultural devices, machines and vehicles, a forge, a Cartwright and a historical miller's flat.

Changing exhibitions about regional themes as well as collections of historical radio sets round the offer off.

Next door at the Wirtshaus Zur Klostermühle you can enjoy regional specialities from the Uckermark, fresh fish from local lakes and other homemade foods and game dishes.

Recommended is walk afterwards around the monastery ruin through the zoo with one of Europe's biggest number of 300-900 year old stock of oaks and beeches.
