Historical swing-bridge Neuendeich

To go from Haseldorf into the Seestermüher marsh or from there back you can use Schleswig-Holstein's oldest swing-bridge.

Listed bridge
The bridge oldie spans in Neuendeich over the Pinnau river. The bridge is listed by now and if have ever crossed the bridge you know why: The old horseshoe nail in the deck - they hold the floor boards together - is not very friendly to modern bicycles and car tyres.

Functional nostalgia
Not only the deck surface doesn't really suit the present time. A large hand wheel, nearly like a rudder of seagoing vessel, attests the long bridge history. Experts argue about the present functionality of this earlier used wooden instrument. Well in any case the bridge is well conserved.
