The Town Hall is one of the largest preserved medieval town halls of Germany. The building started in 1253, brick Gothic, Renaissance. Splendour gable the 2nd
half of the 14th-century.

easterly extension 1911 - 1913.

The Museum Junge Kunst (Young Art) is situated in the town hall

The St. Gertraud-Church was built from 1874-1878 and contains the art treasures of the St. Marien-Church - the 4,70m high and 4.20m wide seven-flame bronze candelabra (around 1375) with elaborate figure decoration (The life of Jesus Christ), the 4,70m high bronze baptism with
44 relief by master Arnold (Scenes of the Old and New Testament), the Marien altar (1489)

St. Gertraud-Church

The Kleist-Memorial and Research Site,
former Garrison-School in Baroque style. Built in 1777, ordered by Prince Leopold of Braunschweig.
Today, it is the only literary museum for the, in 1777 in Frankfurt (Oder) born dramatist and poet of international standing, Heinrich von Kleist. ( 'The Broken Jug', 'Michael Kohlhaas')


The Marien Bath
(former public bath) was put into operation in 1905, closed 1980 and reopened in 1993.
Dr. Heino Goepel (1833-1896), at that time ophthalmologist in Frankfurt, donated apart from this one also the public bath on the Topfmarkt.
Today, it houses, cosmetic, hairdressing and massage facilities.
