Once upon a time there were three villages located close together: Henstedt, Ulzburg and Götzberg. They were old villages and as follows first mentioned: Henstedt in the year 1343, Ulzburg 1339, Götzberg 1520. The population stayed in moderate numbers. In 1855 Schröder/Biernatzki report in their topography the following 'citizens numbers': Henstedt 579, Ulzburg 452, Götzberg 184. In the year 1908 the three village had together – according to the topography by Oldekop – 1.839 citizens. So still no significant change. In other words: 100 years ago everything went its usual rural way.
