Heimatmuseum (Local Museum) Bad Wildungen

The Local Museum in the heart of the Old Town with many half-timbered houses experienced an entire reorganisation and change.

The Museum shows the development path of the early people of the region starting from the prehistory of the Wildunger area (important Ice Age finds, tools from the Stone Ages). Highlight is a complete preserved prehistoric grave.

The town's history is the second focal point of the presentation. Special events and themes are being purposively documented like the medieval judicature or the Thirty-Year War in Niederwildungen. A tone-picture show illustrates the valuable culture-historical possession of the town: the altarpiece by Conrad von Soest in the town church.
