Water sports & more: Boats- and yacht harbours with guest berths can be found nearly everywhere along the water line. There are sections at the Weser and Butjadingen's North Sea coast, which are suitable not only for sailors and motorboat drivers but also for windsurfer and kite-surfer.

Mudflat walks: Walk on the bottom of the sea, an unforgettable experience! During low tide when the water of the North Sea has receded far back you can discover, together with an experienced mudflat guide, the nature resort Lower Saxon mudflat. You walk barefoot over the mudflat, feel the ripples created by waves on the sea bottom and wade through small tidal creeks. At the same time you get to know lots of interesting facts about the mudflat.

Road bowling & ball shooting are regional disciplines, which exist only at the North Sea coast and unfortunately can't be played in any season. If you want to try this Frisian game please contact the tourist information office they are only too happy to help you.

Something curious: You don't know what 'Jückeimerlaufen' is? Then have fun at the 'stable lad's diploma' in Abbehausen and you'll find out that farming can be lots of fun. There is also a lot of fun to be had at the 'sailor's patent' in Elsfleth.

Camping & motor caravan sites can be found all along the Weser and the North Sea, often directly situated at the sea. Your tourist information office is happy to help find a suitable site.
