The Toepper-Lake is situated on the left side of the Rhine in Duisburg's west between the districts Bergheim and Rumeln-Kaldenhausen. The former gravel pit has developed over time into a popular leisure lake, which offers its visitors numerous sportive activities. Apart form the water-ski facility there is among others a boats' hire, a miniature golf course, an area for beach volleyball, a go-kart course and a trampoline facility.

On-site gastronomy is available. Only a few metres from the Toepper-Lake there are hiking options, a tennis court and an indoor- pool.

The, at the lake domiciled water sports club offers its members training times and competition options for water-ski and wakeboard.
