Friedenskirche (Freedom Church)

The Protestant church got its name in remembrance of the Germna-French war 1870-71.

The neo-Romanesque three-nave church was built in 1875. It is situated at the beginning of the Hochstraße and thus forms the 'entrance' to the city centre.

In 1989, the church was included to Bochum's monument list.
