After the permanent exhibition 'Ancient Egypt - 5000 years history and culture' was completed visitors are able to enjoy the museum's over 1500 old Egypt's treasure collection with some worldwide unique objects on more than 1700 sqm.
The walk-about over 2 levels at the museum's new building starts with the beginnings of this early civilisation in the 5th and 4th century BC to its end phase when the land was under Greek and Roman rule around the turn of an era.

The 'leitmotif' of the history takes the visitor on the 2nd level not only on a chronological walkabout but takes up thematic focuses of general epochs,which are of crossing the importance of prehistory to its Greek-Roman time.
The first part of the exhibition concentrates mainly on the development of the burial and the basics of state structure. the second part takes up the themes death cult and mummies as well as temple cult and the world of the gods.

The third part of the exhibition on the 1st floor is dedicated to the everyday and private life. The rooms, thematically divided with objects from the old kingdom to the Arabic period show among others households goods, hygienic articles, clothes, toys and music instruments as well as items from trade, agriculture and antique technique. The new kingdom, the epoch of Egypt's biggest power display is being demonstrated through kings' images, reliefs, valuable jewellery, weapons and testimonies of personal devoutness.
