Blankenfelde lies in the southern surrounding area of Berlin in the district Teltow Fläming.

The oldest preserved building is a church from the second half of the 13th century.

Originally a simple field-stone building the church was extended at the beginning of the 18th century with a half-timbered tower as well as a baroque annexe.

After a great fire due to lightning the bells fell down (one bell is being kept in front of the church as monument).

The church was rebuilt from 1978 to 1981 and restored in 1998 (exterior).

The church is very unusual and there are several options for reconstruction.

The originally rich interior was very heavily damaged during the fire.

The baroque carved altar was from 1740.

Today the church has a simple modern altar. The baptismal font is baroque.
