Archenhold-Observatory
The Archenhold-Observatory was founded in the year 1896 and is Germany's oldest and largest public observatory.
It is equipped with the world's longest movable telescope, which has a 21m focal distance as well as further modern telescopes and a Zeiss small planetarium. At the exhibition rooms dimensions of the universe, the solar system and the historical development of astronomy are being documented.
