The time curve spans from Stone Age pile dwellings of the 4th century BC to industry  archaeology of the Ludwigsburger porcelain manufacture.


New is the museum's shipping section. On show is the development from log boat to steam ship. There as well is: The oldest boat from the Bodensee!


It is a nearly 20m long load sailboat that was discovered in 1981 at the northern  Bodensee bank near Immenstaad in the mudflat.
