The range of products
Achim's weekly market offers a diverse variety of goods like fruit and vegetables, honey, asparagus, meat products, seasonal goods, plants and flowers, Mediterranean fruits, smoked food, organic produce but also warm food and fresh baking products from the wood-fired stove. There are also clothes and leather goods available at the market.
The location
The weekly market is situated in the pedestrian zone, which is ideal for stroll or just popping into one of the inner city stores.
The weekly market motto
In 2007 the weekly market logo and motto 'Natürlich. Frisch. Das trifft sich gut!' (Natural. Fresh. How convenient) was introduced. The motto mirrors the fresh goods as well as the bond of Achim's population with the weekly market and its function as THE meeting place in the town.
History
Achim's weekly market exists since the beginning of the 20th-century. But its installation started only shortly after the Second World War and has been flourishing more and more since the beginning of the sixties. By now the market with its 60 stands has developed into one of the largest in the region.
