The community Blankensee lies south of Potsdam and north of Luckenwalde. Situated in a lovely landscape it is ideal for hiking, cycling or just outdoor relaxing.

Since the 13th century a simple half-timbered church without a tower was standing in the place of today's village church. Between 1706 and 1710 a baroque a fair faced plaster building was created with the inclusion of the old altar wall. The church's oldest artwork is a Venetian fountain stone from the 1st half of the 11th century, which was used as baptismal font. Worth mentioning is the middle picture 'the Wedding of Kana' at the organ loft.

The church is open during the summer months from Easter to Harvest on Saturday from 4pm - 4pm. Additional sightseeing can be arranged with Frau Fechner, Tel. 03 37 31 / 1 22 47.
