Full under steam

Steam, diesel or electro:
The locomotive is the queen of Gramzow. Here in Gramzow, in the middle between Prenzlau and Schwedt, will the visitor find the
Museum for Private and Narrow -Gauge Railways. Original pieces, charts, visual aids and function models help to illustrate the history of the locomotive. How were the tracks built? How did the telecommunications work? All this is being explained.

While the children have fun at a play railway facility, the adults can try out a narrow-gauge hand-lever handcar and will probably work up a sweat.

Outside and at the shed are the locomotives, railcar, wagons and working vehicles, which allow you to take the perspective of a driver.  In Gramzow beats also the organisational heart of the Uckermärkischen Music Weeks, which take place here but also in Schwedt, Angermünde and other villages of the Uckermark. Luckily the Biosphärenreservat Schorfheide-Chorin is nearby so that also hiker and cyclist can have fun too.
