A special highlight was the crowning of the 1st Straupitz Linseed Oil Fairy by the miller and the mayor.

The Linseed Oil Fairy symbolises the good, the beauty elixir and the healing powers of the Straupitz linseed oil, which is uniquely produced after an old tradition.

Every year, a new Straupitz Linseed Oil Fairy will be crowned.

Because of these two highlights, Straupitz experienced, also thanks to the sunny weather, a visitor influx, which exceeded all expectations on this wonderful Whit Sunday.

Our numerous guests were able to enjoy again, together with the people of Straupitz, a traditional influenced highlight. The local costume group Straupitz, performed its popular dance in front of the unique harbour backdrop.

The presentation was done expertly by the president of the Heimat- und Fremdenverkehrsverein Straupitz, the mayor of the community and the miller.

The Rudelübergabe was done ceremonial after an old tradition and in accordance with ancient custom.

On this afternoon, our guests were able to experience free-of-charge 'trial boat trips'.

Bottom line – great Whit Sunday afternoon, great weather, great experience for all visitors and great Straupitz-performers.
