In Wagenitz, already transferred to the family von Bredow in 1335 was probably their prettiest stately home situated. The foundation for the palace was laid in 1571 with the dairy farm. Today only the kitchen tower exists. The battlesome Georg von Bredow defended vehement and bravely his estate against the robbing Swedes, who murdered him and nearly all his family. The stately home Wagenitz was profoundly extended in 1731, contained many valuables, antique furniture, Chinese vases, silk embroideries and paintings. It served as the ancestral home for the  Bredows.

All these valuables were lost in 1945 through fire. The land of the Bredows was divided after the land reform and in the place of the palace a house with 18 flats was built in 1967. The old estate distillery, which produced spirit high in alcohol content from potatoes, was used as storage by the  LPG and in the cellars up to 4.000 ducks and 12.000 broiler chicken fattened for sale in Westberlin. The church, built in 1664 and visible from afar stayed centre of Wagenitz. It receives a painting from the year 1667 from the family Christoph von Bredow and his wife Barbara Dorothea and their ten children.
The auxiliary fire brigade in Wagenitz, a club one can't imagine village life without, celebrated its 100th founding day in 2006. How Wagenitz has smarten up and developed thanks to its active inhabitant after the reunification can best be seen from the air, to which the local balloon sports club invites you warmly.
