Holstenhallen
The Holstenhalle is available for mega events of all kinds. The main hall can hold up to 5000 visitors. The most important event for the town's and county's economy is the Norddeutsche Baumarkt, which traditionally takes place every autumn at the whole area of the Holstenhalle. Mostly Scandinavian manufacturers offer their products from here to the German market.
Already before the 2nd World War cattle auctions were held in the Holstenhalle. Today the large horse sporting events draw an audience from all over the world. Also team sports, for example handball is at home at the Holstenhalle.
