Amt Bad Bramstedt-Land

The borough Bad Bramstedt-Land exists since 1948 and emerged from the boroughs Weddelbrook and Wiemersdorf. First the following communities belonged to the borough:

Armstedt
Bimöhlen
Borstel
Föhrden-Barl
Fuhlendorf
Hagen
Hardebek
Hasenkrug
Heidmoor
Hitzhusen
Mönkloh
Weddelbrook
Wiemersdorf

After the borough reform the community

Großenaspe

was allocated to the borough Amt Bad Bramstedt-Land in 1970.


The borough area comprises of 18.648ha with a population of roughly   8.700.
The municipal administration is situated at the Rosenstraße 20 in Bad Bramstedt. Decision-making body is the department committee, which comprises of the mayors of the borough affiliated communities as well as six further delegates of the large communities.
The honourable management is the responsibility of the head official who is the chairman of the board of the same time.
The administration has 24 employees who are responsible for the administration tasks of the borough affiliated communities.
